Broken Eye...
Every Tuesday and Wednesday I volunteer at Marquis' school for a couple of hours each day. Kaitlyn comes with me and loves to help Marquis' class. This past Tuesday I was helping one of his classmates when I hear Kaitlyn start crying...she is sitting within a foot from me....she's pulling at her eye and just kept saying "My eye is broken...My eye is broken." I thought ok maybe she has something in her eye. I asked her questions like does it hurt etc. All she would tell me is that her eye is broken. Finally, she says look my eye is broken as she points to the ground. Yes, my sweet little girl thought the googley eye on the floor was her actual eye. I tried to convince her (trying to hold back my laughter...not sure I did a great job) that her eye was fine and that was a googley eye used for crafts that it wasn't real. Eventually, she either gave up or finally believed me. Gave me the best laugh though...poor KitKat! :)

More of Temple Square
I Love to See the Temple
Kaitlyn's Gymnastics
Kaitlyn started Gymnastics a few weeks ago. She is in love with gymnastics! She is always practicing at home. She does really well but has had a few melt down's. Being a typical 3 year old she's not happy when she can't do what she wants and when she would rather mix it up a bit and get away from the routine that her teacher is trying to teach her she gets really pouty. However; this past week she had another little girl join the class and I think it will really help to have someone else in class with her. Kaitlyn had been the only one in the class so having a classmate should help a lot.

Upgraded FHE Board!
Kaitlyn falls
Kaitlyn hardly ever gets hurt...she climbs on everything and somehow seems to manage to not fall...even when she falls she usually catches herself...well, today was a little different. She was climbing on the couch and fell off onto the coffee table. So glad it was only a busted lip and bruised face!

How packed was the truck?
Our Moving Adventure in Pictures
Our Moving Adventure
So, with Mike already out in Utah the actual move was up to me.....with some much needed and blessed help from Mike's parents. To say the moving truck was full is nearly an understatement. If we have learned anything from this we have learned that we have WAY too much stuff and will be really focused on downsizing. We had a great crew of brethern from church that came to help pack the truck. I'm so grateful to each of them and their families for taking time away to help me. What a blesssing the church is! So, after much work from the brethern somehow they were able to fit everything into our truck. (THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!)
Our road trip to Utah was long and full of sick cranky children and by the end a very cranky Rachel. (Thank you Molly for not killing me...seriously, I felt like I was a huge monster by the end!) Molly drove most of the way. I was so thankful to have her there to help me. Since the kids both had croup they weren't sleeping well at night, especially Kaitlyn. So, not sleeping didn't work well with driving. Molly never complained...and I'm so thankful for you, Molly!
A few days before we left Marquis had come down with Croup....I took him to the ER and they prescribed a steriod. At the time I thought Why???? Why is he getting sick right now and why did he have to go to the ER? Marquis has had croup several times before and only once before this time did I have to take him to the ER. Then during our trip...I found out why he needed to go to the hospital. Kaitlyn woke up one night gasping for air and had the classic croup cough. I had the medicine they gave Marquis and since Kaitlyn gets croup often I knew what dosage she would need. I was able to give her a dose of medicine and kept us from having to go to the ER...which would have been difficult since we were in the middle of Wyoming.
All in all our trip went really well. For the most part the kids did great and were entertained by our much loved portable DVD player. We came into Utah Sunday morning and were in Provo by 3pm. We are getting settled and love our new apartment. Our location is perfect for Mike's commute to work and close to lots of shopping and places to go. We love it here!

Moving
Most of you already know, but for those who may not we are moving to Salt Lake City, UT. Mike leaves the day after Easter and the kids and I will travel Friday, April 16th. We have loved our time in Memphis and will certainly be sad to leave family and friends. Our Heavenly Father has truly blessed us with a job and we are so grateful for it. Once we are settled I'll try to do better with the blog...but I can't make any promises.....:)

The Missing Snowman...
Snow Day...
We enjoyed having a little bit of snow...mostly ice. Here are a few pic's of the kids watching the snow from our "Big Blue Chair". They both climbed in and I turned it around so they could sit with their blankets and eat their fruit snacks and watch the snow. They sat there for about an hour watching it snow and just admiring it all. After the snow and ice had all fallen we went out to play in it. We found that since it was mainly ice skating around the backyard was pretty much what we could do with it. I did however make an itty bitty snowman for them. You might notice it in the picture...and kit kat decided to add her own snowman to mine. (She just kinda placed pieces of ice on the table and looked at me and said....look mommy my snowman!) We had fun!

Big Brother
On preschool days Marquis loves to try to stall when going inside Miss Tiff's house. This morning he told me he had something to tell me. Here is what he said.
Marquis- "Mommy, I have something to tell you."
Me- "Yes, Marquis?"
Marquis- "Mommy, will you keep an eye on Kit Kat for me?"
Wow, what a sweet brother. I was so impressed. When I told him that I would he gave me the biggest smile and went on inside. I love my children!!!
