Upgraded FHE Board!

I know I'm going to love DI! I found this FHE board for $1.50!! It just needed new paint and I bought some wooden hearts and we painted them last night for FHE. The kids love it!

Kaitlyn falls

Kaitlyn hardly ever gets hurt...she climbs on everything and somehow seems to manage to not fall...even when she falls she usually catches herself...well, today was a little different. She was climbing on the couch and fell off onto the coffee table. So glad it was only a busted lip and bruised face!

Cue Hallelujah Chorus...

We were almost there....thank goodness!!

Inside the van...

And can you believe they were like this the entire way? Really.......well, almost....LOL. :)

How packed was the truck?

To say we used every inch of space is really NO EXAGGERATION! And this is the biggest truck available through Budget Truck!

Our Moving Adventure in Pictures

And this is the view Molly and I shared for our three day journey to Utah. Isn't it a pretty sight? We even drove up beside the truck so we could get a pic of CE driving the truck. Which he drove the entire way by himself. Thank you so much!!!

Our Moving Adventure

So, with Mike already out in Utah the actual move was up to me.....with some much needed and blessed help from Mike's parents. To say the moving truck was full is nearly an understatement. If we have learned anything from this we have learned that we have WAY too much stuff and will be really focused on downsizing. We had a great crew of brethern from church that came to help pack the truck. I'm so grateful to each of them and their families for taking time away to help me. What a blesssing the church is! So, after much work from the brethern somehow they were able to fit everything into our truck. (THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!)

Our road trip to Utah was long and full of sick cranky children and by the end a very cranky Rachel. (Thank you Molly for not killing me...seriously, I felt like I was a huge monster by the end!) Molly drove most of the way. I was so thankful to have her there to help me. Since the kids both had croup they weren't sleeping well at night, especially Kaitlyn. So, not sleeping didn't work well with driving. Molly never complained...and I'm so thankful for you, Molly!

A few days before we left Marquis had come down with Croup....I took him to the ER and they prescribed a steriod. At the time I thought Why???? Why is he getting sick right now and why did he have to go to the ER? Marquis has had croup several times before and only once before this time did I have to take him to the ER. Then during our trip...I found out why he needed to go to the hospital. Kaitlyn woke up one night gasping for air and had the classic croup cough. I had the medicine they gave Marquis and since Kaitlyn gets croup often I knew what dosage she would need. I was able to give her a dose of medicine and kept us from having to go to the ER...which would have been difficult since we were in the middle of Wyoming.

All in all our trip went really well. For the most part the kids did great and were entertained by our much loved portable DVD player. We came into Utah Sunday morning and were in Provo by 3pm. We are getting settled and love our new apartment. Our location is perfect for Mike's commute to work and close to lots of shopping and places to go. We love it here!
